Founded in 1873 from the proud German choral traditions of singing societies, May Festival’s extraordinary artistic excellence has earned us the reputation over the past 150 years as one of the most prestigious choral festivals in the Western Hemisphere. In May 2021, BBC Music Magazine recognized us as one of the “Best Classical Music Festivals in the U.S. and Canada.”
