For more info: www.sarasotaliteracy.org Position Opening: Office Assistant Job Overview: Reporting to the Executive Director & Program and Volunteer Manager, the Office Assistant performs a wide variety of reception, administrative, fiscal and general daily office management functions in support of programs, operations and fundraising. May also supervise interns and volunteers as directed. This is an hourly, non-exempt position. Work Hours: Part-Time, minimum 20 hours per week; Monday-Friday, flexible scheduling. Compensation: Hourly wage commensurate with experience. Partial benefits include paid holidays, prorated vacation/sick time, and other benefits as outlined in the agency employee handbook. Qualifications: Experience in related field or work regarding standard office administration Bilingual-Bicultural Spanish required Good computer skills & proficiency in relevant software: MS Word, Excel, Gmail/Google, data bases, etc. Knowledge & operation of standard office equipment Proficiency with clerical, administrative, & bookkeeping procedures & systems such as filing & record keeping, AR/AP processing, data base management, donor acknowledgement/relations, etc. Strong attention to detail & accuracy Strong planning, prioritization, & organizational skills; results oriented Good problem assessment & problem-solving skills Ability to accurately gather & monitor information Excellent customer service skills in working directly with the public & community leaders Strong communication skills-verbal/written Team player with leadership skills, abilities & desire to interact with people at all levels Ability to lift 20 lbs.
