“Scenes from a Youth” will be Caru Alves de Souza's second feature length fiction film and two recurrent themes of her work will be approached: childhood and adolescence. The film will plunge into the everyday life of a young skater girl from the outskirts of Sao Paulo, who questions her own sexuality and how society understands her as a woman. The narrative will not follow a linear trajectory, but it will show episodes of the girl, her friends and her family’s everyday lives, creating an overall portrayal of this section of the population.
