Why do you love hemp building?

I love the myriad uses for hemp, relatively low water needs and quick growth cycle to produce it. I’m excited by using hemp & lime to create well insulated, vapor-permeable, solid walls that sequester carbon from our atmosphere.

What was a win for your company in the past year?

I enjoyed helping so many customers with creating beautiful, non-toxic spaces.

What is something about hemp building/construction/processing you didn’t know a year ago?

Where to source hemp hurd that’s produced as close as possible to Southern California... I still don’t know.

What challenges does the hemp building industry face that it must overcome in the next five years?

Growing the market and production to the point where building with hemp is more affordable and attainable.
