Interview

Tulio

What's your goal as a men's designer? What sort of feeling do you want people to get from your clothes? Of course, the goal is for people to look good. If a man is going to wear a swimming suit on the beach he wants his butt to look good; I want his butt to look good too. I want people wearing my clothing to have a feeling of total freedom. In Brazil, people are used to not having to wear anything at all; when you wear my suits, I want you to feel almost as if you are naked.

Since you started out in this business, what's been the “best day ever at Tulio? I launched my first swimwear line in 1987, and we were very popular right from the start. When you see your clothing right in the front of a magazine, you know you've reached your goal. What's next for Tulio? Red is going to be like black was in the 90's - it's popular to wear bright colors now. I go to the remote beaches of the world to search for design ideas, and I see less and less black. We're adding designs with lots of color, and in combinations that you don't always expect. How do other fashion trends affect what's going on at Tulio? Where do you think the evolution of men's swimwear is headed? In fashion, you have to keep your eyes on the women. What's popular in women's wear now is what will be next in men's fashion. The square cut suit has been popular for awhile, so now men are moving back toward a bikini style. If you weren't designing menswear, what would you be doing? I'd be designing other clothes. I designed my first dress when I was 14 years old and went to school and learned to design wedding gowns, I wouldn't be doing anything else.

List your top five rules for men of style: Rules? I don't believe in rules. Fashion is about wearing what makes you comfortable. What is “sexy? Sexy is not about what you wear or what you put on your body, it's who you are and how you feel. Not everyone looks like a model. What are your suggestions for everyone else who wants to look good in their underwear? It's not about what you look like at all. Fashion and sex appeal mean wearing what makes you feel good. You don't have to look like a model to look good in the clothes that y ou wear.

Skin

Special: Sun WHY SUNSCREEN IS ESSENTIAL FOR SKINCARE Many people look at skin care as something to be done on a day by day basis to ensure that their skin looks great today. That's fine but you should think longer term, and about keeping your skin looking good for years and years to come. To achieve that you need to add something else to your skin care regime - and that is to use a good sunblock or sunscreen on you r skin throughout the year. Get the right type for your skin and it will help to prevent water loss from your skin and also protect it from damage from the suns UV rays that over years lead to real ageing. Bottom line: for healthy skin for years to come, ensure that you use sunscreen!

Care

How To Treat Sun Burn In Summer If you get sun burnt in Summer from the heat of the sun, then it can of course be quite painful. First, prevention is better than cure. However if already burnt, then apply a nice soothing lotion as soon as you can - for instance Aloe Vera containing ones are very soothing. Also try applying a cream overnight to the affected area that contains some zinc - this will help to repair the skin.

Along with the changing times, there has been a drastic change in the costs, styles, and purpose of handbags up until today. Unlike the 1960's, bags of all sorts, even plain old shoulder bags used on a daily basis, have become fashion statements that can make or break an outfit. In present time, a bag is so much. There is a fascinating variety of handbags for every mood, outfit and occasion. Handbags have turned into an important fashion statement that probably costs just as big. In fact, it is not just the designer handbags that are so costly, but even school bags are expensive. The Herve Chapelier is a popular bookbag among students, just as the Greek shoulder bag was, which costs approximately $150 for a simple tote bag. This bag is approximately $140 more than the Greek shoulder bag that was utilized for the same purpose. A popular handbag used by many women on the University of Maryland campus today is the Herve Chapelier bag. Walking around campus, it is a surprise to see how many women you can find carrying their books and belongings in the very same tote bag. Since fashion today puts such significant emphasis on handbags, there seems to be an infinite amount of desirable bags. Although there is such a wide variety for people to choose from, the Herve Chapelier bag seems to be very prevalent on our college campus. It comes in a variety of styles and colors, allowing consumers to give their own touch of style to this popular handbag.

BIG BAG BANG!

fatboy slim in Brighton Beach

check it out now the funk soul brotha For a few hours one scorching July day, Brighton Beach became the venue for the Big Beach Boutique II, one of the biggest parties the UK has ever seen. Thanks to the city's star resident, one Mr. Cook (a.k.a. Fatboy Slim), 250,000 revelers were able to forget a decade of shindig-stifling legislation and party for free while perfecting that great move "the pebble shuffle. " Predictably, a wave of negative press followed, but for anyone who was there, it was one of the most memorable events since the sun set on the Summer of Love. It's nearly impossible to bottle that kind of atmosphere, but Big Beach Boutique II is a good attempt to bring the sun to your speakers. While excerpts from support DJ sets such as Groove Armada's midpaced "Superstylin'" and the Lo Fidelity Allstars' feisty "Tied to the Mast" create a carnival feel, it's only when Cook kicks off with Tim Deluxe's "It Just Won't Do (dub)" that things really get going. If not the most eclectic mix album ever made, it has enough superb moments, like Cook's magnificent mix of X Press 2's "Lazy," to make BBB II a great slice of nostalgia. --Christopher Barrett Big Beach Boutique is the album from the biggest beach party ever seen in the seaside UK resort of Brighton and has been compiled by Norman Cook (aka Fatboy Slim) & Damian Harris (aka Mindfield General & owner, Skint records). It features 17 of the best tracks from the night, as well as a few others that are set to be big ones. Southern Fried Records. 2002.
