No matter what the season, we’ve got family fun! In fact, Travelocity has named Jackson Hole a Top 10 Family Destination. Many activities are suitable for kiddos of all ages and even the most senior member. Here are some ways to enjoy a family trip in the Tetons. jht.guide/family

u Taking a ride on Bridger Gondola at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is a must-do-or-why-botherbeing-here activity. Hop aboard in winter to ski down or during the summer to take in the awesome spectacular view from the top of the world.

u Tour Grand Teton and Yellowstone national parks (why, hello Old Faithful!).

u In the winter, taking a horse-drawn sleigh ride on the National Elk Refuge or ice skating in the middle of Town Square are other classic, familyfriendly activities.

u Make the most of our local parks. Rendezvous Park (“R Park”), on the banks of the Snake River in Wilson, boasts a swimming pond and trail system. Phil Baux Park, at the base of Snow King, is a great place for kids to try their hands (and feet) at bouldering, while you picnic in the shade.

u The Cache Creek Nature Trail is a short, accessible hike along a boardwalk to a Forest Service picnic area—dog-friendly and appropriate for even the littlest rugrats.

Your child can become a Junior Ranger by completing various activities at any Grand Teton National Park visitor center or the Jackson Hole and Greater Yellowstone Visitor Center.

Take a Dip in Hot Springs

WHAT KID DOESN’T LIKE A SWIMMING POOL?

And how cool would it be for your child to go back home boasting that he swam in a natural hot springs pool? The rustic pool at Granite Hot Springs is a great place for the kids to swim and splash around while the adults relax sore muscles. Operating hours during the summer are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Astoria Hot Springs is open year-round and is the area’s newest hot springs offering. It boasts five soaking/ swimming pools, including a dedicated children’s pool. Reservations are required in advance.

Hit the Trails on a Horse

INNER COWBOY! Few activities offer as much insight into the traditions and textures of the West as horseback riding. Jackson Hole horseback trail rides range from one or two hours on up to a full day in the saddle. The well-mannered and mountain-trained horses make exploration easy. Try out a ride with a simpler excursion around the Snake River Ranch with Teton Village Trail Rides. For more options, Spring Creek Ranch frames most of its rides against the backdrop of the Tetons, while Mill Iron Ranch offers a wide variety of rides out into the mountain trails of the wilderness and fishing streams.
