Airplane food
“Late last year I went home to Ohio to take pictures with Michelle Maguire of “airplane” food on an airplane for fun. I’m not sure if they are more appropriate or less appropriate now, but they feel even more fantastical” - Kelsey

Endless West
Photographer Kelsey McClellan was commissioned by Endless West to shoot their molecular whiskey, Glyph. To make Glyph, molecules are sourced directly from plants and yeasts, rather than obtaining them through distilling and aging. Because this is the first molecular whiskey, Kelsey, alongside stylist Michelle Maguire, worked to feature elements from this chemical process in these photographs, resulting in a collection of beautifully composed ingredients, lab instruments, and cocktails.

The American Dreamsicle
There’s nothing quite as uniquely American as a cheap frozen treat and summertime sticky fingers. In The American Dreamsicle, McClellan makes an analogy /pun between the famous American Dream (the “American Dream”) and something as “American” as a water ice cream (in English popsicle) The color of the ice creams that melt in the hands of their owners overlap the colorful clothing typical of the summer and saturated backgrounds, and compose staged photographs of a summer day. The details of each image, in addition, make a portrait of the person holding the ice cream and, in turn, of North American society.
