“Through my cross-cultural living experiences, I have come to understand that there are certain experiences and emotions that can be perceived and shared by all human beings. I am dedicated to seeking, capturing, and accurately representing these life experiences that transcend the barriers and limitations of Eastern and Western cultures through various experiments in graphic narration (both abstract and concrete). At the same time, I have been committed to exploring the expressive power of line, the fundamental language of drawing, in visual storytelling.”

Luo Rongrong holds a Ph.D. in Art from Kyoto Seika University in Japan, where she received mentorship from Professor Jaqueline Berndt. Throughout her career, she has been consistently invited to participate in prestigious group exhibitions and has held captivating solo exhibitions in notable locations worldwide, including the United States, Japan, Poland, Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, and South Korea.

Acknowledged for her exceptional artistic talent, Luo Rongrong has garnered numerous international and national awards, attesting to her skill and creativity. Her renowned piece, “Czerwone Króliki” (Red Rabbits), was published by Hanami Press in Poland in 2011, further establishing her reputation as a distinguished artist.

Luo Rongrong’s remarkable abilities have also led to her inclusion in prominent projects. In 2020, she was selected for the esteemed “Illustration Talent Cultivation for Children’s Books” initiative by the China National Art Fund (CNAF). Additionally, she has been chosen for the “Rural Revitalizationthemed Lianhuanhua Talent Cultivation” project of CNAF in 2023, highlighting her expertise and commitment to artistic development.

Currently, Luo Rongrong serves as an Assistant Professor at the School of Art and Design at Nanjing Tech University. She also holds the position of resident artist at the esteemed Chinese Watermark Printing Materials and Techniques Research Key Laboratory. With her profound knowledge and dedication to her craft, Luo Rongrong continues to inspire and contribute significantly to the field of art and design.
