RSGC is located in the Annex area of downtown Toronto and founded CISMF in 1983 when the Festival took place at Massey Hall. At RSGC, our Junior music program focuses on the fundamental skills of creating and exploring music using ukuleles, guitars, singing, and electronic music platforms. In the Senior School, students choose to specialize in either band or choir. RSGC musical ensembles regularly perform at the school, in the community and overseas. This year, the Junior School’s musical production of Beauty and the Beast was a smash hit. The 59th annual Service of Lessons and Carols, held at St. James Cathedral, was and is a musical highlight for the RSGC family and the wider community. In March, members of the Senior Band travelled to New York City. In June (of this year), the Chapel Choir will tour Spain, with performances in Madrid, Valencia, Avila, Montserrat and Barcelona.
