It’s your turn to play. Pick up an instrument, crank up the volume and make some noise. Designed to evoke the birthplace of rock bands for decades, The Garage is where, for the first time inside the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, fans can pick up real instruments, learn to play, and jam with friends.
PLAY Enter the Garage to find dedicated practice stations for drums, guitar, bass and keyboards. Whether you’re playing an instrument for the first time, or are an experienced player, video prompts will guide them as they learn a song or show off their freestyle skills. Each station features a curated song selection that includes music from classic rock, soul, grunge, hip hop and all points in between. Everyone, no matter what their skill level, can take a brief lesson on how to play major riffs from Inductee songs.
JAM For those who are ready to rock with friends or create an impromptu band with our crew, the Jam space boasts a full band setup, stocked with real, high-quality gear. Check our Events calendar for which artist or genre-themed jam sessions might be going on during your visit! BRAND YOUR BAND As evidenced throughout rock & roll history, building a great band also involves giving it a killer look. Find out how some iconic bands got their iconic logos, and then try your hand at creating your own band logos at the Brand Your Band interactive kiosks.
