Life from the Eyes of Poverty Rodger Jacobs and his girlfriend Lela Michael had only lived in their North Vegas home for five months, but they had fallen behind on rent and faced an eviction hearing August 23 of last year. Jacobs, 51, a freelance writer who had had trouble finding work during the recession, rented the house his cousin owned and charged $1,050/month. Following the eviction hearing, the couple soon moved into an extended-stay hotel where they pay $200/week to save money. Poverty is everywhere even in America. The picture of the woman to the left is a woeman with her children during the great depression. This type of poverty still exist in America today.

We as global citizens have the power to end poverty and allow all of the citizens of the earth enjoy the prosperous life as developed country’s citizens.
