CAMERON CRIGHTON  |  FRED / YOUNG SCROOGE / PETER CRATCHIT / ENSEMBLE Cameron trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and is currently Citizens Theatre Actor Intern. Credits in training include: Christian in Festen (Winner of the Citizens Theatre Society Prize), Gayev in The Cherry Orchard, Antipholus of Syracuse in The Comedy of Errors and Oscar Scougall in Miseryguts. MARTIN DONAGHY  |  BOB CRATCHIT / DICK / FAT BUSINESSMAN / ENSEMBLE Martin trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and is currently Citizens Theatre Actor Intern. He recently played Horatio in Dominic Hill’s production of Hamlet. Theatre in training includes: Claudius in Hamlet; Dame Daisy in Jack and the Beanstalk, Foigard in The Beaux Stratagem, Ross in Macbeth, Robert in They Shoot Horses, Don’t They? He has recently appeared in two short films: Letter from an Old Boy and The Watchman. He will be appearing in several plays at the Citizens over the coming months.

Credits while training include: The Rose Tattoo, The Love of a Nightingale, Paines Plough’s We Planted Some Sunflowers, Good Person of Szechwan, King Lear, Richard III. Theatre credits include: The BFG (Dundee Rep); Romeo and Juliet (Bard in the Botanics/2013 tour); In the Heart of Darby Park (Òran Mór); Glasgow Girls (National Theatre of Scotland/Citizens Theatre/Theatre Royal Stratford East) including a performance at the SSE Hydro as part of the Ryder Cup Gala Concert; Snow White (Byre Theatre); The Fumidor (Pants on Fire); The White Devil (Shakespeare’s Globe, Sam Wanamaker Festival). Stephanie is currently developing a new writing project as director/performer under the working title The George Beattie Project.

CREATIVE TEAM DOMINIC HILL  | DIRECTOR Dominic Hill is Artistic Director of the Citizens Theatre. Since joining the Citizens in 2011, he has directed Hamlet, The Libertine, Miss Julie, Crime and Punishment (winner of Best Director and Best Production, 2014 CATS Awards), Far Away, Seagulls, Doctor Faustus, Sleeping Beauty, Krapp’s Last Tape, Footfalls, King Lear and Betrayal (winner of Best Director, 2012 CATS Award). Before joining the Citizens he was Artistic Director of the Traverse Theatre in Edinburgh and Joint Artistic Director of Dundee Rep. Other credits include Falstaff and Macbeth (Scottish Opera) and The City Madam (RSC). He has directed in theatres in London and throughout the UK.


RACHAEL CANNING  |  DESIGNER / PUPPETRY Rachael trained at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and since then has worked as a set, costume and puppet designer. Rachael is the co-artistic director of The Wrong Crowd. LIZZIE POWELL  |  LIGHTING DESIGNER Lizzie trained at London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. Her lighting designs for the Citizens Theatre include The Libertine, Far Away, Seagulls, Krapp’s Last Tape, Footfalls. NIKOLA KODJABASHIA  |  COMPOSER / SOUND DESIGNER Nikola Kodjabashia is considered to be one of the most eminent representatives of the Balkan and Eastern European musical avant-garde today. Theatre credits include: Hamlet, Crime and Punishment (Citizens Theatre); Penelope X (Macedonian National Opera); composing and conducting for Sir Peter Hall and Sir Harrison Birtwistle’s Bacchai (National Theatre); the internationally acclaimed Kafka’s Monkey (Young Vic); The Three Musketeers and the Princess of Spain (English Touring Theatre/Traverse/Belgrade Theatre, Coventry); Wajdi Mouawad’s Scorched (Old Vic); Wedding Day of the Cro Magnons (Soho Theatre/Dialogue Productions); Helter Skelter/Land of the Dead, music for Monsieur Ibrahim And The Flowers of the Qu’ran (Bush Theatre/Dialogue Productions) and the Olivier award-winning Jonathan Kent’s production of Hecuba (Donmar Warehouse). Commissions include: scores for La Biennale di Venezia 2004, BBC Singers 2010, National Theatre 2002/3, Macedonian National Opera and Ballet 2013, Macedonian Philharmonic Orchestra 2009, Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble 1999. TV and film credits include: music for awardwinning film Defining Fay (2012), Dear Ana (2011), BBC Four TV documentary series Racism, a History (2010), BBC/ARENA documentaries Saints, Dance with Me and Green Pages.

BENEDICTE SEIERUP & LUCIEN MACDOUGALL  |  MOVEMENT DIRECTORS Benedicte and Lucien both trained at Guildford School of Acting and under Jacques Lecoq in Paris. They have worked as actors, devisers, movement tutors and movement directors over several years and in many countries. They are currently movement tutors at The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Other Movement Directing work with Dominic Hill at the Citizens Theatre includes: Sleeping Beauty and Crime and Punishment.​

STEPHEN DARCY  |  ASSISTANT DIRECTOR Stephen Darcy is a director and actor. He trained at Birkbeck MFA Directing (2013-2015); RADA (1998-2001); Trinity College Dublin (1994-1998). Directing projects include: Richard III (RADA Enterprises Ltd); The Magic (Soho Theatre & 503); Chelsea Hotel (RADA Festival); The Taste of Tears (The Nursery). As an actor he has performed in the Abbey, Olympia, Project in Dublin, The West End, The Bush, The Finborough and 503 as well as many roles in TV, film and radio.
