LOT AND HIS GOD BY HOWARD BARKER PREVIEW 3 OCT 7.30pm 6–10 OCT 7.30pm MATINEE 10 OCT 2.30pm British playwright Howard Barker is a champion of radical theatre. In Lot and His God, Barker applies his characteristic style to a fearless and ruthless subversion of the ancient Old Testament tale of Lot, his faithless wife and the annihilation of the sinful city of Sodom. In Striptease, two men are periodically instructed to remove an article of clothing by a gigantic menacing hand, while in Out At Sea three men try to apply logic to decide which becomes dinner for the others. A politically-charged and bizarre double bill directed by Matthew Lenton, Artistic Director of Vanishing Point. Presented in association with Vanishing Point.

A modern Scottish parable set against the backdrop of the first Celtic and Rangers clash of the season tours to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Beacon Arts Centre and Òran Mór. To get away from the fitba frenzy, the girls are getting pampered in a spa and the men are left in charge of the teenagers and the DIY… what could go wrong? Funny, hard-hitting and thought provoking, Scarfed for Life is the story of two teenage outsiders caught in the crossfire of polite suburban prejudice and garden equipment. Scarfed For Life was first created in 2011 when the Citizens Theatre worked with over 80 young people from four Glasgow schools to find out what sectarianism and prejudice means to young Glaswegians and their peers. The show appears at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe as part of Just Festival. just-festival.org Recommended for 14+. DIRECTOR Guy Hollands
