STUART PATERSON - WRITER Stuart’s many stage plays include King of the Fields and new versions of Chekhov’s The Cherry Orchard, Uncle Vanya, The Seagull and Three Sisters. He has recently completed an adaptation of Chekhov’s story The Black Monk. A new play Cars and Boys will be performed in Spring 2014 at Dundee Repertory Theatre. He is currenly working on a screen adaptation of Doctor Glas by Hjalmar Söderberg, and an original screenplay Body and Soul. His children’s plays, first performed at the Citizens Theatre, have since been staged throughout the UK, and recently in the USA, Finland, Holland, Sweden and by Den Nationale Scene in Norway, the theatre founded by Ibsen, and by Theater Der Jugend in Vienna. A new narrated version of The Snow Queen for music by Savourna Stevenson will be premiered by the RSNO this December.
BB COOPER - MUSIC Musical theatre in the UK: Brontë (book and lyrics by Peter Spafford); Goblins Don’t Scare Us (book and lyrics by Nigel Osner); The Beast with Two Brains (book and lyrics by Ken Hill); Birmingham Stage Company’s The Jungle Book (book by Stuart Paterson and lyrics by Barb Jungr) and Devilish (book and lyrics by Chris Burgess, orchestrations by Sarah Travis). Song cycles: It’s a Wonderful Life (lyrics by Drey Shepperd) and Shakespeare’s As You Like It. Contemporary Dance in Prague: Ghetto 1577 and La Bohème in collaboration with choreographer, Pavel Strouhal and orchestrator, Martin Kumžák. BB is a founder member of MMD (Mercury Musical Developments), a writer-based organisation in Britain dedicated to the development and presentation of new musical theatre.
BARB JUNGR - LYRICS Barb Jungr is a highly acclaimed internationally known singer and writer based in London. She has written lyrics and music for We’re Going on a Bear Hunt for the Little Angel Theatre for whom she also wrote The Fabulous Flutterbys, a song cycle for Corby, Deep Roots, Tall Trees (now in its second year), two musicals: Mabel Stark: Tiger Tiger and The Ballad of Norah’s Ark and is the lyricist for Birmingham Stage Company’s The Jungle Book.

THE CAST HENRY BAUCKHAM | TABAQUI Henry graduated this year as an Actor Musician from Rose Bruford College of Theatre & Performance, London. Theatre credits whilst training include: Lady In The Dark (Greenwich Theatre); Sjt. Musgrave’s Dance, Women Beware Women, The Baby (Rose Theatre); Dig and Delve (Half Moon Theatre). Henry is also a founding member of Blackheath Youth Theatre in London. Productions with BYT as an actor include Uncle Vanya (Bakehouse Theatre); The Crucible, Rock ‘n’ Roll, The Grapes Of Wrath (Drill Hall) and as director A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Port (Blackheath Halls). The Jungle Book is Henry’s professional acting debut.

CREATIVE TEAM NIKOLAI FOSTER | DIRECTOR Nikolai Foster was born in Copenhagen, Denmark and grew up in North Yorkshire. He trained at Drama Centre London and at the Crucible, Sheffield. His work has been seen in many of the UK’s leading regional theatres, touring houses and internationally. Foster has been director on attachment at the Royal Court Theatre, National Theatre Studio and an Associate Director at the West Yorkshire Playhouse, Leeds. Nikolai dedicates this production to Gerard Murphy (1948 2013), a great friend, magnificent actor and citizen of this theatre. www.nikolaifoster.com
TAKIS | DESIGNER takis studied Costume and Set Design at the Romanian National University of Arts, Bucharest and Theatre Technical Arts at RADA. He undertook practice based research at London College of Fashion and he is currently completing his PhD at Aalto University, Finland. His work has been seen both nationally and internationally. takis has been nominated for Off West End Awards for Set Design in 2009 for the production Stovepipe, in 2011 for His Teeth and in 2012 for Fear with Bafta winner Dominic Savage. From 2007-2011 as Designer in Residence for HighTide, he designed diverse productions to great acclaim including the successful Stovepipe in collaboration with the National Theatre, Ditch with the Old Vic and Lidless (Fringe First Award winner, Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2010). www.takis.info

TERESA BARLOW | MUSICAL SUPERVISOR Teresa started playing the piano at the age of three and went on to study with Professor John Byrne. Musical Director Theatre credits include: Canterbury Tales, HMS Pinafore swing arrangement, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Tempest, The Show Must Go On, Christmas Crooners and Strictly Swing, Aladdin, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, Jack and the Beanstalk and Cinderella. Musical Supervision: Over The Rainbow, Popstar the Musical. Youth Theatre Projects include Summer Holiday, Oliver! and Little Shop of Horrors. Youth Music Theatre UK (Assistant MD). She was involved as an arranger for Coronation Street of Dreams project and was recently regular dep on the King & I UK tour. Teresa was also vocal coach at Carol Godby Theatre School in Manchester, Jennifer Ellison Fame Academy in Liverpool and Centre Pointe School of Dance in Denton.
JUSTIN WILSON | PUPPET MAKER AND DESIGNER Justin Wilson (AKA Justin Illusions Creative Studio) works from a converted farm just outside Glasgow, near Kilmarnock. Originally from an arty family, he trained in fine art at Hornsey College of Art in the mid 80s. He has worked under the name of Justin Illusions for stage, exhibition, TV and feature films as a designer, model maker, sculptor and puppet maker. Originally from London, Justin moved to Ayrshire 14 years ago to bring up his son and build a studio base in Scotland. Some of his most recent work includes the giant Dragon and clouds for Dragon (NTS/Vox Motus); statues for Scottish Opera’s Don Giovani; dead bodies for drama Shetland (ITV) and set designs for The Borderline Theatre.
