The storytime programs will continue to be outside through November 18 as long as the temperature is above 35 degrees and there is no high wind or active precipitation. All other programs will be indoors in November.

Enjoy a story outside together! There is a playground and picnic pavilion too. Come read How to Find a Fox by Nilah Magruder for active learning. Books change seasonally.

Move, dance, explore, learn! Music in Motion is a movement-based music curriculum introducing concepts like rhythm, melody, and harmony in a social and imaginative way. Students embody music joyfully through creative games, improvisation, and expression. Families can stay after the program for some playtime that will be STEAM & Art/Spanish focused!

Storytime programs will be outdoors through November 18 (subject to weather guidelines) and indoors in the Eisenhower Room starting November 22.

No registration or check-in! Enjoy stories, songs, rhymes, and activities together. At the end of the program, children and caregivers are invited to socialize and play.

Baby Storytime Age: 0 - 24 months with adult Thursdays, 9:30 - 10:15 a.m. No storytime on November 11 or 25 (library is closed).

Come grow together here in our storytime programs and play spaces.

Age: 5 - 8 Monthly on 1st Saturday: Saturday, November 6 10 - 10:45 a.m. and 11 - 11:45 a.m.

Sign-up begins at 3:45 p.m. at Children’s Desk

Sign in at the start of the program Explore science, technology, engineering, art and math in STEAM Club! Expect fun, hands on activities, LEGOs, crafts and more plus lots of STEAM related books! No registration.

Junior Book Club

Age: 2 - 5 with adult Mondays, 9:30 - 10:15 a.m. Dance Party instead of program on November 22.

This is a Family Place Library Family Place Center always available when library is open Children’s Patio open daily until 4:30 p.m. (weather permitting) ●

Read, play and learn together indoors in the Family Place Center and on the outdoor children’s patio. Meet knowledgeable staff and discover programs to support caregivers and their child’s healthy growth and development.

ARF! Afternoon Reading Fun

Students in Kindergarten through 5th grade can build confidence and fluency in their abilities by reading aloud to trained therapy dogs. Bring your own book or choose a library book and our dog friends will listen without correcting or judging.

Age: 3 - 5 with adult Tuesdays, 9:30 - 10:15 a.m.

● Come enjoy a family-friendly environment that promotes literacy, early childhood development, family support, community building and information.

Programs will be held indoors but locations are subject to change. Check in at the Children's Desk when you arrive.

StoryWalk® at Bronco Park - featuring How to Find A Fox!

Age: 4th and 5th grade Wednesday, November 17 4 - 5 p.m. Register & pick up your book at the Children’s Desk up to one month in advance. Do you love to read? Meet with other kids to talk about a different book each month, enjoy snacks and have fun! Register at the Children’s Library up to one month in advance of each program date and pick up a copy of the monthly book selection. For more information call 720.887.2315.

Art Stop on the Go Age: 6 - 12 Monthly on 2nd Saturday: Saturday, November 13 10 - 11 a.m. Sign in at the start of the program Art-making workshops for kids from the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art. On the second Saturday of the month, kids will learn about the artist and artwork on display at the museum and listen to a children's book to inspire their own art project. No registration. Sign in at the Children's Desk on the day of the program. Space may be limited.

Read & Explore Kits November’s Title: Look Both Ways: A Tale Told in Ten Blocks by Jason Reynolds A collection of ten short stories that all take place on the same day about kids walking home from school.

For Grades 3-5: Harry Potter, Spies and Spying, Mythological Creatures, and Ancient Egypt For Grades K-2: Paleontology and Bugs

December’s Title: Tesla’s Attic by Neal Shusterman and Eric Elfman Combining science and the supernatural, four kids are caught up in a dangerous plan concocted by the eccentric inventor, Nikola Tesla!

Check out these fun activity kits on very popular topics! Each kit contains 3 books, a DVD, a list of suggested links and a game or activity. Look for the purple and blue bags with the other Book Kits in the Children's Library.
