ALABASTER PARKS AND RECREATION Rules For Use Of the Alabaster Senior Center 1. A Pavilion Rental Permit is required for anyone using the Alabaster Senior Center. An Alabaster Senior Center Rental Permit must be in hand for validation. 2. Groups, organizations, and individuals using the Alabaster Senior Center facilities will comply with the laws of the State of Alabama, the City of Alabaster, and the Alabaster Parks and Recreation Department. 3. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed in the Alabaster Senior Center or on its premises for any organization and/or applicant. 4. All activities shall be properly controlled and supervised. Whenever persons participating in the planned activity are under 25 years of age, adequate adult supervision must be provided. 5. No loud or excessive noises will take place that will disturb any Alabaster Senior Center neighbors. 6. The Director of Parks and Recreation, other authorized personnel, or the City of Alabaster Police have the right to revoke a permit at any time if they deem necessary. 7. No person shall solicit contributions, nor offer to sell or exchange any article or thing, nor buy or offer to buy any article or thing, for any purpose whatsoever, in the Alabaster Senior Center or on its premises except by permission of the Parks & Recreation Director. 8. Permit holder is required to provide their own trash bags for their event. All trash and litter (resulting from the event) is to be bagged up, and placed in trash receptacles. Any overflow should be placed in the nearest dumpster. 9. All vehicles must park in areas specifically designated for the parking of such vehicles. Driving or parking on grass is prohibited. 10. The applicant agrees to assume liability for any damage done to any City property. continued on reverse side


11. The City of Alabaster will not be liable for any claims for injury or damages resulting from or arising out of the use of the City’s facility or premises and the permit holder agrees to indemnify the City and hold it harmless against any and all such claims, damages, losses and expenses. If requested by the City, the permit holder shall carry insurance against such claims and furnish the City with a certificate of insurance evidencing same. 12. No inflatable (such as space bounce, moon walk, etc.) is allowed on Alabaster Senior Center premises. 13. Charcoal grills are strictly prohibited from being brought onto Alabaster Senior Center premises as dumped coals can be a fire hazard. 14. Gas and propane grills are allowed on Alabaster Senior Center premises excluding the inside of the House. However, you are required to place aluminum foil on the ground or floor beneath the grill to catch the drippings. 15. You may not affix anything to the interior walls or ceiling or anywhere on the exterior of the Alabaster Senior Center including staples, tape, push pins, tacks, string, ribbon, balloons, glue, etc. 16. The use of confetti is strictly prohibited in the Alabaster Senior Center or its premises. 17. The use of piùatas is strictly prohibited in the Alabaster Senior Center or its premises. 18. Chalk is prohibited from being used on the floors and walls of the Alabaster Senior Center or its premises. 19. Pony rides are prohibited on Alabaster Senior Center premises unless it is a City sponsored event. 20. Pets are not allowed in the Alabaster Senior Center or its premises. 21. Smoking is not allowed in the Alabaster Senior Center or on its premises for any organization and/or applicant except in the designated smoking area located outside the rear of the Senior Center at the cigarette butt receptacle. 22. You must familiarize yourself with and obey Ordinance No. 95-381. This ordinance can be found at www.cityofalabaster.com or a hard copy may be viewed at the Parks and Recreation office.
