Burleson Municipal Court opens new location

Burleson Municipal Court opened their new location at 1131 SW Wilshire Blvd. on Jan. 2, marking the first time all court personnel will office out of the same building. It is also the first time the city will have a dedicated courtroom. In the past, the City has leased space or utilized the city council chambers to hold court.

The plaza in Old Town design approved by City Council

During the Jan. 22 City Council meeting plans for the plaza in Old Town were finalized.

The construction documents are currently being created and city staff is planning to go out to bid on the project by the end of Spring 2018. Construction should start during the Summer of 2018. For more information about the plaza project, oldtownburleson.com

McLane Classic Foods breaks ground on headquarters in Burleson

McLane Classic Foods along with state and city officials broke ground on their 157,951-squarefeet headquarters and food processing facility at HighPoint Business Park East on Jan. 22. The new development will bring 40 jobs to the Burleson community and $30 million in capital investment. The project will hopefully be opening their doors in the first quarter of 2019.
