Be Healthy Burleson launches new program The Burleson Babies program was started to give the city’s newest residents and their families a healthy start.

The program provides a pamphlet that highlights all of the amazing things that the Burleson community has to offer as well as important resources for families. The Be Healthy Burleson board put together welcome gift bags for the Burleson families that deliver at Texas Health Huguley Fort Worth South hospital. If you live in Burleson but delivered at a different hospital or if you welcomed a new baby to your family via adoption or home birth you can visit Be Healthy Burleson’s website, https:// behealthyburleson.com/ to complete a form and a gift bag will be mailed to you. You must have Burleson address and welcomed your baby in 2019, the gifts will be distributed on a firstcome, first-served basis.

Burleson Fire offers drowning prevention lessons Determined to end childhood drownings in our community Burleson Fire Department is happy to be partnering with Sigma Swimming and The Burleson Recreation Center to offer FREE swim lessons to children who are between the ages of four and 10-years-old and who live in Burleson or attend school in Burleson Independent School District. Mobile Wi-Fi Hotspots available to check out at the Burleson Library

Wi-Fi hotspots can be checked out from the Library Services Desk for a one-week period by Burleson Public Library cardholders who are 18-year-old and up. The portable hotspots allow patrons without internet to easily get online using any Wi-Fi enabled device such as a phone, tablet or laptop anywhere there is a cell connection. Mobile hotspots are designed to accommodate a number of situations, including people who are traveling and want to avoid roaming charges, those who live in locations without reliable internet service, or those who can’t afford internet service.

Mayor Shetter presents ‘State of the City’

Mayor Ken Shetter, along with assistance from Burleson city councilmembers, presented the ‘State of the City’ Thur. Jan. 17. Senior Center to host Health Fair May 3

The entire Burleson community is welcomed to join the Senior Activity Center, 216 SW Johnson Ave., for a free Health Fair from noon to 3 p.m. on May 3.
