Current State – Information Flow

• Twice daily shift change briefings – agency-wide conference call to inform oncoming commanders and squads of in-progress situations • Daily BOLOs – Be On The Lookout bulletins are distributed by Public Information Office via email

• Weekly Crime Abatement meeting attended by Commanders, Crime Analysis and Intelligence units for the purpose of providing criminal statistics and to share intelligence information; Minutes are distributed to officers via email • Bi-monthly Gang Reduction Strategy meeting attended by DPD, City & County Managers, Sheriff, Public Schools, Colleges and other agencies & partners for the purpose of sharing gang related intelligence information through presentations

• RFIs (Request for Information) to Crime Analysis Unit – RFIs including requests for maps are received via drop-in, phone or email. Package is prepared and delivered to requestor. May take days and sometimes weeks to get the information.
