Alley Maintenance
Each year, starting in the spring, Evanston’s more than 300 unpaved alleys are periodically graded by the City. This is done to eliminate potholes and ruts caused by vehicles, weather and other factors. The process improves travel and reduces puddling. Scan the QR code for a 2023 alley maintenance schedule or visit cityofevanston.org/alleymaintenance.
Forestry
Take good care of your trees!
The best way to protect your trees against extreme weather, climate change, and pests or diseases is to give them what they like best: mulch and a little bit of water during the summer. Scan the QR code or visit cityofevanston.org/treecare for expert advice from The Morton Arboretum, including how to water and mulch trees correctly.
