This document provides just a snapshot of the City of Florence’s Economic Development efforts and successes. They are meant to help keep you informed on news and developments that relate specifically to you. These electronic updates will be sent quarterly. 8001 Veterans Memorial Drive  4.0 acre development site;  Construction is ongoing;  Planned opening March 2018.

Ted Bushelman Boulevard  30 acre development site;  Building construction has started for the 550,000 sq. ft. building;  Planned opening Spring 2018.

Vantrust Site 6B Ted Bushelman Boulevard  21 acre development site;  177,000 sq.ft. building will be completed in Summer 2018.

CVG Ted Bushelman Development Ted Bushelman Boulevard  Remaining parcels of the planned 170 acre development are currently in the negotiations process for long term leases.

8445 US 42  Local family business dedicated in bringing the best in vacuum and cleaning solutions recently purchased the 8445 US 42 building;  Exterior and interior renovations are ongoing and should be completed by Spring 2018.

Orleans North Subdivision  6 acre development site;  Approximately 50 residential homes to be constructed over the next two years.


Villages of Florence Senior Apartments Hopeful Church Road  33 acre development site;  177 ranch style age restricted homes planned;  Road and utility work is currently taking place with a tentative completion date of Summer 2018.

Keller Williams Realty Office 7210 Turfway Road  Former Florence Medical Center getting a complete renovation; 

Keller Williams Realty will use this building as their new commercial headquarters.

Villages of Weaver Senior Apartments Weaver Road  9.2 acre development site;  56 ranch style age restricted homes planned  Planned opening Spring 2019.

Florence Veterinary Hospital 7801 US 42  Former 4,000 sq. ft. optometrist office is being converted to a state of the art veterinary hospital;  Planned opening Spring 2018.

Brass Tap Beer Bar 8720 Bankers Street  New to the market restaurant with over 300 beers on tap.

Pieology Pizzeria 6785 Houston Road  New to the market restaurant that serves handmade pizzas in 5 minutes or less.

Corelife Eatery 6785 Houston Road  New to the market restaurant;  Menu choices focus on healthy alternatives such as tofu, antibiotic free range chicken, no GMO’s or artificial flavors.

Bear Paddle Swim Club 4102 Seligman Drive  10,268 sq. ft. building, with a salt water heated pool;  Offers swimming classes and pool parties.

7555 Mall Road  New to the market pizza restaurant;  This is the first chain to open in the state of Kentucky;  Restaurant specializes cooking a wide variety of specialty pizzas in 180 seconds.

Full Throttle Indoor Carting

7901 Mall Road  Petland officially opened their doors in October 2017. They sell a full assortment of reptiles, fish, bird, dog and cat food and supplies.

24 Spiral Drive  The former XhilaRacing has been purchased by Full Throttle.  The track and ventilation system recently went through major renovations.  All carts have been upgrade to gasoline powered.

US 42/Cavalry Lane  New to the market international chain known best for its coffee and donuts.

US 42/Cavalry Lane  Concept plans for a new Verizon Wireless retail store has been submitted and is currently going through the concept development review process.



The Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport will begin initial work next month on projects that will pave the way for construction of the planned $150 million consolidated car rental facility.
