LETTER FROM MAYOR DIANE E. WHALEN

We are pleased to present the City of Florence's third quarter development report. Our Administrative team works hand-in-hand with our elected officials to enhance and improve our relationship with our residential and business community. This document provides just a snapshot of the City of Florence’s Economic Development efforts and successes. They are meant to help keep you informed on news and developments that relate specifically to you.

Florence continues to be one of Kentucky’s fastest growing communities. With many transformational projects underway, city council and staff continue to meet and exceed the expectations of our residents and business community. Much of our success is because of our ability to foster public-private relationships throughout the business community. City officials have worked closely with all stakeholders to implement projects that created opportunities and further advanced our vision. Our economic development strategy continues to focus its efforts on creating a diverse economy that supports long-term sustainability by building stronger existing business relationships and working with the startup, entrepreneurial community to ensure Florence is one of the region’s most sought-after communities in which to grow a business. GE Aviation Doering Drive  VanTrust LLC has started constructing a new 70,000 sq. ft. building on Doering Drive  GE Aviation will serve as the sole tenant bringing over 100 new full-time jobs.

Staybridge Suites

5101 Renegade Way  21 acre development site  250,000 sq. ft. building was completed in 2018 with DB Schenker being the anchor.  A soon to be named co-tenant is currently working on interior finishes for their co-lease

3255 Ted Bushelman Boulevard  2.8 acre development site  72,965 sq. ft., 5-story tall  89 rooms  Construction is underway
