Community Pride Days in Golden are a time when residents can preserve all the parts of our city that make us proud to live here. In an effort to clean up our community, we're offering a chance to bring your non-hazardous and unwanted junk for free disposal by the City!

Participants will be required to show proof of residency at the gate in the form of a State-issued ID. City water bills will NOT be accepted as proof of residency. Unsure if your residence is within city limits? Check out jeffco.us/awiz/ to find out for sure.

Community Pride Days WILL ACCEPT:

√ YES Non-hazardous Items: General garbage and associated trash materials.

√ YES Metal Recycling: Items predominantly made of metal.

√ YES Electronics Recycling All TVs, microwave ovens, computer monitors, laptops, scanners, printers, tablets, office electronics, phones, audio/video equipment. Items with a circuit board.

Items NOT Accepted:

√ NO Tree Branches

√ NO Mattresses & Box Springs for Recycling

√ NO Propane Tanks

√ NO Tires

√ NO Appliances

√ NO Batteries

√ NO Compact Fluorescent Lights

√ NO Paper Shredding

√ NO Paint or other household hazardous waste (household cleaners, fertilizers, pesticides)

√ NO Pharmaceuticals

Jefferson County will hold a SLASH collection (limbs, branches and tree debris) on Thursday, Sept. 15 through Sunday, Sept. 18 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Tin Cup Ridge Park (Rooney Road). For more information, visit www.jeffco.us/2493/SlashCollection. Fees listed on their website.

The city offers this service city-wide through our residential program. Residents can call 303-953-5800 or submit a form online at www.cityofgolden.net/MattressPickUp.

Accepted at any propane refilling station or Rooney Road Household Hazardous Waste facility.

Bring used tires to most Golden tire companies such as Big O or Peerless for a small recycling fee.
