Seniors Week 2023

PROGRAM 2023 3-17 NOVEMBER

2023 Seniors Week Program

Welcome I would like to welcome everyone back to Seniors Week for 2023! A staple in our yearly events calendar, Seniors Week is an important celebration of the important and valuable contribution so many make in our community every single day. I’m excited to see we have another wonderful program of activities with something on offer for everyone. The Multicultural Concert and Afternoon Tea at the Queens Park Theatre is set to be a treat for the eyes and ears – with music, songs and dance from at least 10 different countries! Friends of the Queens Park Theatre will present the film, The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry, and the ever-popular ‘Mayor’s Mystery Bus Tour’ will return and most likely be another booked-out event. There will also be sing-a-longs, a quiz afternoon, have-a-go sessions, lots of sport and activities, and chances to try

something out and meet new friends along the way. I would highly encourage everyone to get in quick and make bookings where necessary as spots will fill up fast. Events like this don’t go ahead without the hard work and support of the QEII Seniors and Community Centre staff, our wonderful Seniors Week Committee and QEII volunteers and the host of sponsors who have generously donated to make this event happen. In closing, I hope the Geraldton community joins me in celebrating and acknowledging our local seniors everyday, and specificallyy during eek 2023!
