Who runs Crime Stoppers?

Crime Stoppers of High Point comprises civilian volunteers who serve as a Board of Directors. The board oversees the program’s routine business affairs, controls the finances, determines the amount of the rewards, and raises funds for the program.

How can I provide information if you need to know who I am?

When you contact Crime Stoppers of High Point, you will be assigned a confidential code number, which becomes your only identity. At no time will anyone ask your name!

How can I collect my reward if you need to know who I am?

You must go to a select area bank when you become eligible for a cash reward. You will provide them with the code number and case number assigned to you. You give that information to the teller, and they will provide you with an envelope containing your cash reward.

How much does a Tipster receive as a reward?

Crime Stoppers of High Point will pay up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest or indictment of criminals. The Board of Directors determines the amount of each reward. Rewards are determined based on several factors, including the seriousness of the crime and how helpful your information is to law enforcement.

What sort of crimes should I call about?

We are interested in any crime or dangerous activity in or around your neighborhood or city, including theft, drugs, weapons, assaults, gang activity, burglaries and homicides. We are also interested in receiving information about wanted suspects and fugitives. The information you provide can help us make your community a better and safer place to live.

Crime Stoppers of High Point encourages everyone to report any illegal activity, including unsolved cases, vandalism, theft, the sale and distribution of drugs or information about crimes being planned in the community or schools.

Crime Stoppers of High Point is a 501-c3 non-profit organization run by volunteers.

Reward money is funded solely by community contributions.
