After School Program (Grades K - 5)

Our after school programs offer a variety of activities including homework time, gym games, arts & crafts, outside play and other planned activities. Parents are responsible for daily snacks. All after school programs follow Guilford County Schools traditional calendar and schedule for inclement weather-related closures.

Allen Jay Recreation Center

School bus transportation is provided from Allen Jay Elementary and Allen Jay Prep (fifth grade). Parents need to arrange school bus transportation at their child's school. Transportation is provided from Triangle Lake Montessori, Union Hill Elementary and Jamestown Elementary Schools. We accept drop-offs from home or other schools.

Deep River Recreation Center

Transportation is provided from Southwest Elementary, Phoenix Academy, Florence Elementary and Colfax Elementary. We also accept drop-offs from home and other schools.

Oakview Recreation Center

Transportation is provided from Oakview Elementary, Shadybrook Elementary, Johnson Street Global Studies, Montlieu Academy of Technology, Northwood Elementary and Kirkman Park Elementary. We accept drop-offs from home or other schools.

Discovery Sports After School Program (Grades 1 - 5)

The Morehead Discovery Sports After School Program is designed to develop and improve the all-around sports skill sets of each participant. Through drills and practice, participants will learn the fundamentals of a wide variety of traditional and non-traditional sports and games, as well as teamwork and sportsmanship. The result will be an ability to play sports in pick-up or recreational play settings and sufficient instruction to try out and play for an organized team.
