Personnel Allocations Email- 12.29.22 Subject: FY 2023-24 Budget – Personnel Allocations – Due Tuesday, January 10, 2023
Hello, Your department personnel allocations are attached. This data was pulled the week of 12/19/22. Please review and update the following, as needed. There are columns in the far-right with a BLUE heading for changes and comments. - Any pending personnel actions that will impact salary or assigned org key - Allocations for split employees - Part-time equivalent – confirm the amount in FTE column is correct, this is how the position will be budgeted - If budgeted positions or mid-year additions are missing, add them and provide info (ex, in adopted budget or added in November) - If changing a split (multi org key) employee, confirm the FTE for that position still adds up to 1.0 across all of your department’s org keys Changes this year: - Employees allocated to other departments are shown in their home / reporting departments, such as Communications or Tech Services employees - Vacant positions: indicate what level you intend to fill this position at, especially if it is a position in a series - NO raises, promotions, conversions (part-time to full-time), or additions to budgeted headcount should be indicated here – these should all be submitted as budget packages to ensure the appropriate review and approvals If you make changes, highlight the row with changes. Also attached for reference is the FTE table from the adopted budget. Due to the fluid nature of personnel, the budget will never be perfect. The goal is to look forward to FY 2023-24 and where you need FTE and salary budgeted, at the department level. Focus on position count by org key / fund to ensure your resources are allocated correctly. The allocations are due January 10, 2023. It is critical these are returned on time to enable the personnel budgets to be posted for your review by February. As always, please reach out with any questions or concerns – we are here to help!
