Hunter Outdoor Pool

Free

Ages 4 and under must be accompanied by an adult (ages 18+) who will always be within an arm’s reach out the child in the water. Ages 5-12 must be always accompanied by an adult (ages 18+). Adults may sit poolside. Children ages 6-8 must always have a parent or guardian on the deck. All children 12 years old and under will be swim tested prior to entering the swimming pool. Children 52 inches and under who do not pass the swim test will be required to wear a coast guard approved life jacket. Individuals 13 years old and up may be swim tested prior to entering the deep end of the pool. There is a limit of two children under 5 years old per adult. Children ages 13-17 must bring a school ID or driver’s license and complete an emergency card. All adult participants must present a photo ID and complete an emergency card.

Clear bags only are allowed on the pool deck. Bags will be searched before entering the pool area. No chairs are permitted on the deck. Bring your own lock to secure possessions and leave valuables at home. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items. No one under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be permitted in the pool. No horseplay is allowed at the pool. Lifeguards are to be respected and all rules followed.

Receive personalized instruction that is scheduled by arrangement. Fee includes four, 30-minute lessons of one-on-one (private) or one-on-two/three (semi-private) instruction. For semi-private, please have your own group set; we do not match single individuals into one semi-private lesson. Please call 517-483-6686 to register and for more information. All classes and dates are pre-arranged with the instructor and patron. Classes are held once a week for four weeks unless other arrangements are made to fast track the class. The last day to register for class sessions will be September 1, 2022.

Let’s Go to the Pool for a Party!

That’s right – you can rent the Schmidt Pool for your own personal party, and you get the pool all to yourself and your guests. This is a great opportunity for birthday celebrations, reunions, church groups, work groups, and more! Rental of the pool also includes onduty lifeguards. Tots Tuesday

Bring your tots to Hunter Park Pool Splash Pad on Tuesdays for a time of organized fun and games. Activities run at 2pm, 4pm, and 6pm for 30 minutes of play! Tots must be accompanied by an adult. Adult participation is encouraged, so bring a swimsuit and towel.

Water Safety and Swim Lesson Placement Day

Free

Come to our season opening day at Hunter Park Pool and participate in water safety demos to help keep you and your children safe in the water this summer! Lifeguards and instructors will be present for demonstrations on the hour 1-6pm for 15 minutes. Information about summer swim lessons will be available, and an instructor to place your child at an appropriate level will be on-site.

Splash Aerobics

This shallow-end workout is a great class for the beginner, non-swimmer, or someone looking for a lower intensity class. Enjoy a complete workout in the water where you will be introduced to a variety of moves to strengthen cardiovascular system, tone your muscles, and leave you feeling invigorated. Competitive Swimming Club
