Holidays are here! We have something for everyone these April school holidays. Make your way to any of our Marion library branches with family and friends to browse, read and borrow from our collections, or simply use our spaces to hang out.

Dungeons and Dragons for Young Adventurers

Adventure through a game of Dungeons and Dragons with a group of fellow young explorers. Together we will create characters, solve puzzles and uncover the mysteries of this fantasy world!

Suitable for young adventurers ages 8–13, interested parents and caregivers are welcome to participate.

A musical workshop for kids designed to make learning music fun. This session helps children develop music skills and has a positive effect on their personal growth. Presented by Irene from Forte School of Music.

Creating Healthy Sleep Habits for Babies

Are you a sleep deprived parent? Are your baby's sleep habits affecting you and leaving you exhausted? This workshop is designed to help mums and families with information specific for babies aged 6-12 months. Presented by Kirsty, a baby and child sleep consultant from Sleep Little One. Toys and craft activities available for kids.

Teen Only Writing Workshop with Margot McGovern

Join Neverland author Margot McGovern for a special teen only writing workshop. Margot is a YA and horror author whose debut novel Neverland was published by Penguin Random House in 2018. Her horror fiction has also appeared in Hometown Haunts: #LoveOzYA Horror Tales (Wakefield Press, 2021) and The Dark. She is also a former member of the LoveOzYA committee.

Pizza and refreshments will be provided. Open to all budding writers from ages 13–18.

Come n Try - Tech Zone

We are setting up our tech workshop zone for the afternoon at Cove! Test out our Lego SPIKE Kits, race around with Sphero robots, zoom in with microscope lenses and more. Come and have a go, parents and caregivers are encouraged to have a play as well!

Family Movie Afternoon: Encanto

Join us for a special family-friendly screening of Encanto, a tale of an extraordinary family, the Madrigals, who live hidden in the mountains of Colombia in a magical house. The magic of the Encanto has blessed every child in the family with a unique gift from super strength to the power to heal—every child except one, Mirabel. But when she discovers that the magic surrounding the Encanto is in danger, Mirabel decides that she might just be her exceptional family’s last hope.

Relax, curl up sit back and enjoy! Bring along your favourite bean bag, blanket or teddy. We will have a craft table set up and some snacks to enjoy!
