Walk and Talk
Lessons in nature provided by your friendly Flint Hills Discovery Center staff and local experts. Each Walk and Talk location and topic will vary depending on the season and expert leading the group. Preregistration is required. We encourage you to sign up with your friends and family so you can share the majesty of the Flint Hills with your favorite people.

Guided Konza Hikes
Come along for an immersive experience into the Flint Hills. Learn about the geological features of the region and observe the native plant species of the season with this 2.6 mile hike. Registration opens August 14.

Reflective Nature Hike
Nature is all around us. Discover it with an innovative program as you experience the outdoors in a new and relaxing way. Melanie Nord will teach you how to absorb or take-in nature through meditative practice. Explore this technique at the Discovery Center before trying it in our beautiful downtown neighborhood. Registration opens August 14.
