Why we do the six-monthly performance report

It is a report to our community on our performance against our Delivery Program strategies.

City of Newcastle (CN) is required under the Local Government Act s404(5) to provide progress reports on the Delivery Program and Operational Plan at least every six months. Our six-monthly performance report details CN’s progress on the principal activities detailed in the Delivery Program.

Reporting on our performance

The quarterly performance reports, along with the six-monthly performance report and annual report are the key points of accountability between CN and our community. It is not a report to the Office of Local Government or the NSW Government; it is a report to our community on our performance against our Delivery Program strategies. Every three months, CN reports on the key activities it has undertaken which contribute to achieving our Delivery Program and in the long term our Community Strategic Plan (CSP), Newcastle 2030.
