AQUATICS Located in the Penticton Community Centre, our multi-use community pool is geared towards providing accessible, healthy and fun aquatics programming for residents and visitors of all ages. Detailed Winter schedules can be found at www.penticton.ca/aquatics and include access to a variety of the following amenities and activities. Main Pool: A 10-lane, 25m lap pool which includes a zero-entry ramp and stairs for accessible access. Leisure Pool: A free form, 20m leisure pool which includes a zero-entry ramp and stairs for accessible access. It also features a lazy river, tot slide and spray features. Hot Tub: A free form hot tub which includes a zero-entry ramp and stairs for accessible access. All pools are treated with a Chlorine/UV Filtration system that provides a clean and comfortable swimming environment. Sauna & Steam Room: Our facility features both a dry sauna and steam room. Our energy efficient steam room produces steam in cycles and ranges in temperature from 46-49°C. It also features a standby mode with a temperature of 32°C. Water bottles are not permitted in the sauna or steam rooms, but can be kept outside for your convenience. Lazy River: A fun feature located in the leisure pool, the lazy river is available in two ways. Come during our Public or Family Swim for a fast current to swim and play in, or during one of our Water Walking times when the river is set to a lower speed more appropriate for water walking. Waterslide: Available during Public Swims, the waterslide is 53m long. Waterslide guidelines do require that all riders be a minimum of 40” (1.02m) in height and double riding, including parent and child, is not permitted. Children under the age of 12 who do not meet the admission guidelines must also be accompanied to the top of the waterslide by a responsible individual 16 years or older. Diving Boards: Available during Public Swims, our facility features 1m and 3m diving boards. Spray Features: Our leisure pool includes various spray features. Spray features will be on during Public and Family Swims, but can also be requested throughout every day as programming and scheduling permit. Tot Slide: Located in our leisure pool, the tot slide is available when scheduling and programming permit. Sliders are required to be 75cm tall and able to hold themselves upright in a sitting position to slide on their own. Sliders who are unable to meet that requirement must slide with a responsible individual. Rope Swing: Located in the deep end of our main pool the rope swing is available during our Public Swims as resources permit.
