FISHING DERBY
• Anglers must be between ages of 3-14: For young anglers (6 & under), the parents may assist but the child must be the one actively fishing.
• Anglers must register online, limited on site registration may be available. Registration Fee is $5.00 .
• Prizes will be given for heaviest, longest, and most fish in each age category.
• Fishing derby date: November 9th
CHANNEL CATFISH
Suggested bait to catch a Channel Catfish: minnows, shad, perch, shrimp, hot dogs, night crawlers, red wigglers, and meal worms make good catfish baits. If you’d rather use a lure, try a small inline spinner bait, spoon, or rooster tail.
LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
• Anglers will need a valid fishing license that includes a freshwater fishing endorsement.
• A Texas resident can get a freshwater fishing license for $30 at any sporting goods store.
• Ages 17+ in the state of Texas are required to have a fishing license to fish.

WINTER ART CAMP

Your young artist will create beautiful winter snow scenes, seascapes, still lifes and animals under the inspiring guidance of a professional awardwinning “Teachers of the Year”, Susan and Christen Garden.
Learn real fine art techniques and creative thinking, by painting and drawing with 4 different mediums; watercolor, acrylics, oil pastel and charcoal. Create holiday gifts that will be great for family and friends.
All art supplies are provided but we ask that you bring a roll of paper towels to class on the first day. We encourage your child to wear an old t-shirt.

Let’s kick it! During this program, children will learn fundamental soccer skills in a lively and interactive team environment. Participants will get to showcase their new abilities in practice sessions. Little Kickers meets twice a week for three weeks on varying weekdays (Monday-Thursday) depending on which session participants are registered for.

ROCKWALL BASEBALL & SOFTBALL LEAGUE GENERAL INFORMATION
Welcome to the RBSL (Rockwall Baseball & Softball League). We strive to provide a high quality environment for young athletes to learn and play the game of baseball/softball. The RBSL operates a Spring and Fall season. Our league is designed to accommodate players of all skill levels.
The RBSL offers 4u/5u T-ball, 6u Modified Coach Pitch as well as Select and Draft divisions for 7u to 14u.
4u/5u T-ball:
Games are just for fun, no score, no first place and no last place, all players receive an aware at the end of the season.
6u Modified Coach Pitch:
Stepping stone season between t-ball and 7u/8u coach pitch, where each batter gets three chances to hit a live pitch and three chances to hit off the tee.
7u/8u Baseball (Coach Pitch) :
Typically, 7-year-olds play together and 8-year-olds play together in this standard coach pitch baseball.
9u Baseball:
First year of kid pitch baseball, some rules are changed to accomodate this integral step in basesball.
10u Baseball:
Regular baseball like you would watch on TV.
11u/12u Baseball:
11-year-old and 12-year-old players are combined in this full-fledged baseball division.
13u/14u Baseball:
13-year-old and 14-year-old players are combined in this full-fledged baseball division.
8u Softball (Coach Pitch) :
Players from 6 to 8 allowed to play together, standard coach pitch softball.
10u Softball (Modified Coach Pitch) :
9-year-old players and 10-year-old players play together in this first year of kid pitch softball, some adjustments are made to help move the game along and accomodate this integral step in softball.
12u Softball (Fast Pitch) :
11-year-old and 12-year-old players play together in this player pitch softball league with few rule vairations.
14u Softball (Fast Pitch) :
13-year-old and 14-year-old players play together in this player pitch softball league with few rule variations.

Based on final registration RBSL reserves the right to combine divisions, move teams, change schedules, and make any necessary changes.

LONE STAR ROOM FEES
Rentals are a minimal of two hours and include a $300 service fee. This includes security provided by Rockwall PD, set up & tear down, cleaning service as well as chairs and tables.
All rentals must be finalized and paid for no later than two weeks prior to your rental date. Fog machines are prohibited and will result in loss of deposit if used. Renters will not have access to Lone Star Room/video equipment.
$200 deposit will be refunded if no property damage occurs and no rules are broken.
COMMUNITY CENTER RENTAL INFORMATION
Reservations can be made up to 180 days in advance and must be made & paid online or in person at The Center (108 E. Washington).
A key will need to be picked up the week of your rental from The Center during business hours (8am - 5pm, MondayFriday). Full payment is due at the time of booking in order to secure the date.
Be courteous to fellow renters by entering and exiting the building per your scheduled time block. Have your permit with you at the time of your rental. If you have a problem with your rental, call 972-771-7740 during office hours. If your problem occurs outside of office hours, call Rockwall nonemergency dispatch 972-771-7724.
Alcohol is prohibited at the Harry Myers Community Center.
Bounce house rentals are permitted but require proof of a certificate of liability insurance listing the City of Rockwall as additionally insured.

All dogs and cats must be registered with the city. Registrations expire either one year or three years from the issue date based on the type of rabies vaccination.
You may register your dog and or cat at City Hall, 385 S. Goliad; at the Animal Adoption Center at 1825 Airport Road; or by mail.
The city offers 4 low cost shots clinics a year. Please call the Animal Services department at 972-771-7790 for more information.
The city has a leash law. Sec.6-9 states:
“It shall be unlawful for any owner to cause, permit, or allow any dog or other animal possessed by him, kept or harbored, other than a cot, to run at large.”
RETURN TO HOME PROGRAM

THE DOG PARK AT HARRY MYERS
The Dog Park at Harry Myers Park has plenty of open space for your best friend to run freely. The dog park has two fenced in off-leash dog play areas. One section is for smaller dogs and one for larger dogs. There is also a common drinking water area for people and pets to refresh themselves.
• Owners or custodians of dog are legally liable for the acts and behavior of dog at all times.
• Anyone using this area does so at their own risk.
• All dogs must be licensed, vaccinated, and display current rabies tag.
• Female dogs in heat are not permitted in park area.
• Aggressive dogs must be leashed and removed immediately.
• Owner is legally responsible for damages or injuries.
• Bag and dispose of your pet’s waste immediately.
• Fill any hole your dog digs.
• Children under 13 years must be accompanied by an adult.
• Keep small children and infants under CLOSE SUPERVISION.
• Dogs should be under voice control.
• Leash dogs while entering and exiting park.
• No smoking, food, alcohol, dog chews or glass containers.
• No dog toys allowed.
• No grooming pets in park.
• No choke, pinch, prong or spiked collars allowed.
• No bare feet.
• Dog owners who fail to comply with the above rules may be asked to leave and cited.
