How exciting it is to be moving towards spring, ready to embrace the warmer weather and the notion of new beginnings! If you are looking to start a new chapter in your life, how about attending one of the numerous fabulous sessions scheduled for the Write Now Festival – a fresh take on the popular annual Salisbury Writers’ Festival. Other interesting events taking place in the Salisbury region this season include the annual SALA exhibition and a celebration to mark 80 years of the National Military Vehicle Museum. In addition, you are always welcome to check out the array of programs offered by our local community centres for people of all ages. The more adventurous among us are invited to participate in the Cycle Salisbury 8th Birthday ride, kicking off from Carisbrooke Park. Or, perhaps you would prefer to take part in a paranormal ghost tour or discover all kinds of delicious cuisines as part of the Food, Glorious Food festival on until the end of August.

Write Now Write Now –Writers’ Festival is the next chapter of the popular, annual Salisbury Writers’ Festival and will be held at the Salisbury Community Hub on August 28. The program includes sessions on a range of insightful topics such as poetry, interactive fiction, how to get your content published, comics and character drawing and the opportunity to delve into paranormal history with Allen Tiller. There will also be a children’s story time session with multi-award winning author Phil Cummings and a special launch of new kid’s book, My Dad Thinks He’s Super Funny by Katrina Germein.
