The Men’s Shed is a place of encouragement for all to take an interest in their own health and well-being. Good health is based on many factors and becoming a member of a Men’s Shed gives a person a safe and busy environment and old-fashioned mateship.

Pathways to Hospitality Commencing 30 January Mondays and Tuesdays 9am to 3pm COST FREE This program covers the basic skills required to gain work in hospitality kitchens or roles associated with food preparation and handling, cooking and menu planning. By learning how to plan nutritional menus and use simple recipes, students will gain the valuable numeracy, literacy and workplace planning/organisation skills required to engage with entry level employment opportunities in the hospitality area or follow onto further education in this area.

By having a nutritional focus on the foods being cooked, students will also gain those valuable life skills to support themselves and their families to make better food choices that also fit within their budget.
