Held on the anniversary of the battle of Long Tan 11am Friday 18 August 2017 Henderson Square, Montague Farm Estate The Montague Farm Estate has been dedicated to all Australians who served, suffered and died in the Vietnam War. Of the 501 Australian servicemen killed in the war, 59 of them were from South Australia and the majority of them have been recognised in the naming of streets and reserves in the Montague Farm Estate.

Pathways to Employment and Intro to ICT Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 9am to 3pm COST FREE These programs have been designed to run as one total program and cover basic letter writing, resume creation, job application and interview skills that will provide you with the basic knowledge and support to actively find employment, as well as the basic knowledge required to operate a computer and Microsoft Word program, which will enable you to create basic documents and perform simple computer functions. SOCIAL SUPPORT Salisbury Garden Club Second Tuesday of each month. COST $3 per person Come along and meet likeminded people with green thumbs. Share your knowledge and learn other ideas in a social environment.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY Driving Mentors Are you someone who is patient and likes to help other people? Have you had a driving license for two years or more? Perhaps this is just the thing for you to keep busy with. We currently need mentors for a new program called Wheels In Motion @ Bagster. Driving mentors will work with people 26 years old and over that are on their learners permit, to support them to get their driving hours up to obtain a probationary license and further their independence. Board of Management The centre is governed by a board of management supported by the community. There are currently some vacancies available and the centre is looking to engage people from the community who have skills in any of the following areas that would like to apply: Strategic business planning and development, social media and marketing strategy, youth engagement, multicultural engagement, indigenous engagement, financial sustainability, volunteer development, quality/continuous improvement. The Pathway to Hospitality course teaches people how to plan and organise workplace tasks in the kitchen whilst observing food handling and hygiene principles, using basic kitchen skills, exploring different cooking methods and foods with a focus on nutrition and budgeting.

We are always looking for more volunteers to assist us to maintain our herb and vegetable gardens.
