Round 5 Are you interested in music? Always thought it would be cool to be a radio presenter? Interested in learning new skills and being on radio?

Nine young people from the council areas of Cities of Salisbury, Tea Tree Gully and Playford have just completed their radio training with PBA FM and their first Jibba Jabba Radio show went to air on PBA FM 89.7 on Friday. Tune in to PBA FM 89.7 to catch their show every friday from 4:35-5pm.

Jibba Jabba Radio is a youth led radio program highlighting youth activities, hot topics, interviews and music.

Learn to Play Inline Hockey Come play the fastest game on wheels!! Fast past and exciting, inline hockey is one of Australia’s fastest growing sports and once you try it you will know why. Don’t know how to skate? That’s ok! Playing inline hockey also helps you learn to skate faster. Similar to ice hockey, the ‘Learn to Play’ session will teach you the basics of hockey skills & skating. Before you know it you can be playing in the Saturday afternoon competition. SHOOT! Media Club

Interested in short films? Stop frame animation? Web stuff? The Shoot! Media club is for high school crew and meets at NSS on a Thursday afternoon from 4-5.30pm. Explore your imagination and create photos, text and video to get your point across. Get technical, get creative. Presented in partnership with The Smith Family.

Hang out in the NSS Workshop on Mondays from 4.30 – 6pm and make hip hop. Learn how to make beats on Ableton Live with Nick and get a hand writing rhymes with Jo. Come and chill, listen to beats and share your styles. FREE. 15-20 year old boys and girls.

Studio Time is a new arts program at HIVE 12 Twenty-Five offering local artistic folk free access to the ultra modern HIVE Arts studio every Friday. Mystery Movie Night

Change History!

The team from Youth Action are hosting an interactive evening of entertainment including the screening of a mystery movie. So, bring along your most cozy cushion or bean bag and settle into a night of fun.

Some people can find historical photos a bit black and white, a bit low definition, a bit…bland. So, if you are aged between 13-25 years we are asking you to creatively ‘improve’ a photo from our local history collection.

The program covers sports science, scoreboard operations, game analysis, leadership, planning a coaching session, excursions, nutrition and much more. Shopfront provides services for young people, including: counselling / support / referral, free pregnancy testing, free condoms / dams, free Internet access, group programs, alternate Thursdays – Meet and Greet, 5 - 7pm, Homework Club Tuesdays 4 - 6pm and visiting agencies such as Shine SA, Headspace, DASSA and Youth Lawyer. Youth Community Foodies A six week training program around nutrition and group facilitation. Upon completion, those trained will become volunteers promoting healthy eating in their community.
