Round 5 Are you interested in music? Always thought it would be cool to be a radio presenter? Interested in learning new skills and being on radio? We are looking for 9 enthusiastic and committed young people to be trained up as radio presenters! No experience is needed as you will gain FREE industry training to assist in presenting the Jibba Jabba radio show from PBA FM radio station in Salisbury. Participants will work in two teams over a 6 month period and meet each Wednesday night 4pm - 7pm to research, develop and record the Jibba Jabba radio program. To be involved you need to be 16 to 25 years and live in the City of Salisbury, the City of Playford or the City of Tea Tree Gully. BMX Workshop This workshop is suitable for young people aged 12 to 18 with step by step trick break down. Young people involved need to supply their own BMX and Helmet. It’s About me Girls workshop This workshop is for young Mums and provides free childcare. Artist in Residence & Curator in Residence Program January 2012 will see the arrival of two new and very exciting artistic opportunities for local young creative folk at HIVE. The Artist in Residence program is a 6 month placement that provides a young local artist aged 16 – 25 the opportunity to develop a body of work ready for their own solo exhibition to be displayed at HIVE. The Artist in Residence will have free access to ultra modern arts studio, staffing support and some resources for the 6 month period. The Curator in Residence is an annual program that provides a local young person the chance to be responsible for the hanging of at least 8 exhibitions per year in the HIVE gallery. The Curator in Residence will have the experience to be involved with the Annual Painting and Ceramics art exhibition held at Council and learn more about the exciting exhibitions and artists showcased from the Golden Grove Arts Centre. Both of these new programs will offer the successful applicants skill development, creative connections and a valuable personal experience. Expression of interest forms will be available online and open until January 27 2012 and interviews will be held in early February 2012.
