National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS) is held annually by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA).

Join us for a special Giggle Time session where we will sing songs together before reading 'The Speedy Sloth' by Rebecca Young and Heath McKenzie. Parents and children are encouraged to stay and play after the reading.

Three-Ring Circus: The Dramatic, Mysterious and Tragic Life of Mabel Worley, a Destitute Asylum Girl

Who was Mabel Worley? Author Corinne Ball explains Mabel’s life which spanned the turn of the 20th century. In that time, she gave birth to a daughter in a destitute asylum, got married, ran away, joined a circus, navigated love and loss, and rubbed shoulders with many star entertainers of her day – only to lapse into a criminal existence as a vagrant and public drunk.
