Each year since 1945 the Children’s Book Council of Australia has brought children and books together across Australia through Children's Book Week. During this time schools and public libraries spend one glorious week celebrating books and Australian children's authors and illustrators. Book Week Parade

The Book Week theme is ‘Read, Grow, Inspire'. We invite families to dress in their best costumes to hear selected finalist titles read by our enthusiastic staff and have the opportunity to showcase their costumes as we parade around the library for all to see.

Clay's Cool After School Program

If you’ve never had the opportunity to play with clay now’s your chance! Class will include tuition, firing and glazing.

Tuesdays, commencing 1 August, 3.30pm to 5pm, Ages: 5 to 10 years

Home Library

This free service delivers library materials to City of Salisbury residents who cannot easily access the library. Deliveries and pickups are every 4 weeks to retirement villages, nursing homes, helping hand centres and residential homes.

Library Tours and Memberships

Community groups, child care centres, kindergartens, schools and home school groups are welcome to visit any library or arrange a virtual tour. Program staff are able to provide information sessions suitable to age and interest. Teacher and student memberships can be pre-organised if required.
