Library branches throughout Salisbury are having free activities in the holidays including colouring in sheets and resources from our Read, Play, Learn program will be available. Kids can also borrow from the collection of books and DVDS!

Come and learn the art of taking a great photograph. Runs over 3 days, lunch provided. Arrangements can be made for earlier drop off if required due to work commitments. Bookings essential.

Children are encouraged to bring their favourite bear, enjoy a picnic outside with some fun games, pass the parcel, treasure hunt and more. This activity builds a sense of ownership, belonging, sharing and exploring. Parents/Caregivers to accompany children during the course of the activity. Bookings essential.

Healthy eating is important for children’s growth and development. Children will learn and make some yummy looking nutritious food for their lunchbox. Bookings essential.

Kids Cooking Program: Banana and Passionfruit Slice

Watch it Grow

10am to 11am Ingle Farm Library

10.00am to 11.00am Mawson Centre

Join in the cooking fun! Learn a new recipe for a sweet slice, complete a fun activity booklet and take some yummy treats home to share with your friends and family! Recipe may contain nuts and gluten. Bookings essential.

Enjoy decorating your own pots and planting different seeds in your own cool funky way! Learn about how to build, nurture and ‘watch it grow’. Bookings essential.

Make money boxes out of plastic bottles using recycled materials and other recycling activities. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Bookings essential. Age: Four to 12 years Cost: $3.00

Learn Chess Session for Kids with David

Get your dancing shoes and comfortable clothes on and join us for a fun dancing time! A professional entertainer will be hosting an awesome dance program including pop music and yoga poses. This is an opportunity for your child to be active and yet stay calm. Bookings essential. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Join us for an adventure in LEGO Robotics. LEGO Mindstorms EV3 robots are an exciting way to look at how robots and programming work! Age: 10 plus Cost: $5.00

Children will make super cute mini gardens using waste tin cans. They will plant, design and decorate their mini garden and be able to take them home. Parents/caregivers to accompany children during the course of the activity. Bookings essential. Age: Six to 12 years Cost: $5.00

Games Day Extravaganza

Join us for an awesome look at dinosaurs incorporating investigation skills, creativity and imagination. Find the dinosaur Tracks and tell us which dinosaur it is. Do your own dinosaur egg excavation. Check out the dinosaur dig and make your own fossils to keep! Bookings essential.

Come and hang out with us for a day of FREE activities. There will be computer games, Xbox, board games and crafts, or simply chill out with a movie! Lunch provided free of charge

Come along to this Minecraft Lock in session and build your own creations to battle and survive the night against zombies, creepers, and ender dragons. To be held at the brand new Para Hills Community Hub.

Children like to make and create things. Through this activity children can freely make or create their own crafts to take home. Free play promotes creativity and develops children’s abilities to express themselves through colour, composition, shapes and drawing. Bookings essential.

We have lizards, geckos, snakes and a goanna for you to meet. Learn all about these fascinating cold blooded animals from our expert. There will be plenty of opportunities to hold or touch most of the animals if you want a hands on experience. Bookings essential. Age: Four plus Cost: $5.00

Halloween has come early! Come creeping with us to find the hidden tombstones. Where are all the creatures hidden? Take a chance with the creepy feel boxes and feel what the oozy, gooey is inside... Make your own designer spider or skeleton to take home with you. Who will be the best dressed zombie/mummy wrapped in tissue? Heaps of fun. Bookings essential. Age: Five plus Cost: $5.00
