How I Celebrate Life When I was a little girl our grandparents visited us. I was standing by my grandmother’s side, because grandmother’s “don’t have a lap” you know. I was playing with her brown satin buttons on a brown satin dress. She was telling me how I had grown so much. She remembered the day I was baptized. The way she told the story, I could vision the heavens opening and the angels celebrating. Our pastor always told us we should remember our baptism every morning, we are a child of God, and we can celebrate and live a life every day. Celebrate! Whenever we mentioned someone having a birthday today, my friend said “Let’s make a bowl of Jello and Jellobrate.” She was good for many a laugh. Continued on page 2 …
My husband planted two evergreen trees at the Lake Home. It was our Wedding Anniversary, 6-6-66. Celebrate! My friend asked me to go to a local church to hear a speaker. He spoke to women and women only. Men should have heard him! He said “Life is a Gift, we should celebrate every day even when we are doing dishes, diapers and dirt.” So years go on, we do Celebrate every occasion. Life is Great, Celebrate! Happy Birthday Sandy! Let’s Celebrate.
