Dear Mayor Olson:
On behalf of the Stoughton Area School District, I would like to thank and commend Chief Leek and the entire Stoughton Police Department for their help and support during the recent incident at Stoughton High School. From the moment we informed the department they responded and worked with the district to formulate the most appropriate and affective response. The department responded by sending officers to help secure the building and help patrol the parking lot. Their presence helped to calm some of the fear and uneasiness of this difficult situate. I cannot thank them enough for their help and support. In particular, please pass on my gratitude to Chief Leek, Lieutenant Conlin, and Detective Adams. These three individuals went above and beyond the call of duty in order to help students, staff, parents, and the communities feel at ease during this incident. The entire department acted in a very professional and caring manner and I look forward to continuing the great working relationship we have with the city, and the police department.
