BRIEF DESCRIPTION / IDEAL CANDIDATE(S):

The City of Vallejo’s Finance Department is seeking a candidate for their Accounting Technician position in their Accounts Payable Division. The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong background in Accounts Payable that includes accounts payable invoices, processing invoices, and generating checks for payment. They will possess knowledge of policies regarding travel, reimbursements, and purchases and will be familiar with general principles and practices of accounting and bookkeeping. Also possess proficient Excel skills. Since this role includes handling a widerange of accounts payable business functions, which involve considerable attention to detail in a fast-paced environment, the ideal candidate will also possess the ability to organize and prioritize their workflow to meet deadlines to ensure timely and accurate processing.
