New Teen Programming Coming to Parks and Recreation

Westerville Parks and Recreation is planning unique and creative programs and events for teens in 2022 that include trivia and game nights like the ones offered above and field trips around Central Ohio.

“This population in our community needs fun, engaging opportunities to help them develop socially and to promote individual growth in finding new hobbies or interests,” said Chelsea VanAssche, Program Supervisor. “We will have professional development opportunities such as a teen job fair, volunteer opportunities, resume building and more to help prepare teens for life after high school.”

In addition to year round opportunities, teens can look forward to a newly formatted Counselor-in-Training program and teen camp where field trips will be based on a weekly theme. Information on these programs will be available in the March/April Community Recreation Guide.

For additional information or if you would like to suggest teen program opportunities, contact the program supervisor at chelsea. vanassche@westerville.org.
