Sharing power with local community I am the area coordinator responsable for the Eastern Docklands. Working in an area centered way means developing an agenda that is (geografically) area centered: locally looking into social, economical and other related fields. I don't make the agenda on my own, I do this in cooperation with partners (e.g. citizens, networks, businesses, housing corporations, police) in the city, for the city (political board) and bottom up where possible. From my position I take a helicopter view and zoom in and out. Spotting chances that we should enhance or threats that we should work on to prevent it from growing worse. As all neighborhoods are different, the agenda of each neigborhood looks different and has its own list of things to work on. It means a lot of facilitating connection between people and opportunities.
