DATES FOR YOUR DIARY
During your first two weeks at City, make sure you: • Register to confirm your
enrolment at City. Check your personal email account, where you will receive an email with information about how to complete the registration process. Visit the webpage for further information: studenthub.city.ac.uk/newstudents/registration
• Collect your student ID card after registration. Remember to carry it with you when on campus and to make a note of your student number

Find your induction timetable on the Student Hub: studenthub. city.ac.uk/new-students
• Go on a campus tour led by one
of City’s Student Ambassadors – this will help you find your way around before lectures start
• Access your City email address. Check this daily for messages and updates – it is the primary way that the University will communicate with you
• Open a student bank account.
You will need a letter confirming your student status which you can print out yourself from e:Vision via the Current Students section of the City website, or from the Student Centre or your School office. Take advantage of our onsite bank, Santander, to open your account
• Register with a doctor
and dentist. It is best to do this while you are feeling well, before you need one. Find out more about student health in your Life at City guide
• Apply for a student Oyster
photocard. You can save 30% on adult-rate Travelcards and Bus & Tram Pass season tickets – check if you are eligible and apply online at tfl.gov.uk
• Print out a Council Tax
exemption letter from e:Vision, if you are a full-time student and living in privately owned accommodation. If you are living within the London Borough of Camden you can register for Council Tax exemption online at www.city.ac.uk/council-tax
• Organise your bike parking,
if you are planning to cycle to the University. Bike parking is available at Drysdale Garden. Visit www.city.ac.uk/travel to find out more
• Start buying your books once
you have your reading list. Search online for the best prices but remember to buy the edition suggested by your lecturer
