Student Support We make every effort to ensure that you make a success of your time with us. That is why we offer student support and welfare services dedicated to providing you with careers guidance, additional learning support, personal and academic development, mental health support and more. Our Student Advisors/Support Officers offer impartial advice and guidance on: • Financial support for students: 16-19 Bursary, Care to Learn applications, Discretionary Learner Support Funds, 19+ Advanced Learner Loan Bursary Fund, HE Hardship Fund • Financial support for help with childcare costs • Referrals to Emergency Housing Advice and information • Welfare benefits information and support • Domestic violence - emergency advice and referrals to specialist support services • Personal/emotional support and referrals to longer term support including the Mental Health Support Team at the College

• Sexual health signposting including issuing free condoms • Period Poverty packs to young people To contact an Advisor before you apply for a course, please email studentadvice@cwc.ac.uk and speak to a member of the team. Supporting Looked after Children and Care Leavers If you are a looked after child, a young person leaving care or a young person estranged from family please come and see one of our friendly Student Advisors/Support Officers. We can check that you are aware of the support available to you and have applied for the Nominated Bursary. We can also make contact with your social worker or Personal Advisor contact with your CITY OF WESTMINSTER COLLEGE
