DEDICATED SUPPORT FOR SOCIAL VENTURES. From fashion to farming, prosthetics to prisons, we help social ventures at all stages grow and scale up their social impact.
Have you got a business that create social change? Cambridge Social Ventures supports businesses making positive social and environmental impacts. Our programmes are designed for people who will drive their businesses forward to create real, scaleable, lasting change. In our first three years, we’ve supported nearly 100 ventures to grow, find customers and investment.
Business support tailored to your venture Whether you have global plans or are making an impact in your local area, our support is tailored to suit you. We work with you to understand your business goals and structure our support around the unique needs of each entrepreneur. Our ventures come from every sector: from fashion to farming, prosthetics to prisons. They include tech start-ups, public sector teams, community organisations, university spinouts and everything in between. You’ll share your journey with other entrepreneurs motivated by a strong social mission. We support each venture to embed their mission and measure their impact to ensure ongoing social change. Your 12 months of support includes: • a dedicated business advisor for one-to-one support • monthly training and networking days in Cambridge • support to access finance, including loans and investment • free co-working office space in Cambridge • discount business technology from Amazon and Microsoft
Still developing your ideas? Social Venture Weekend at Cambridge Judge Business School is for anyone with an ambition to set up or grow a business that makes a positive social or environmental impact. The workshop is an inspiring introduction to the social venture sector and a valuable opportunity to focus intensely on your own business. You’ll have the opportunity to share and test your ideas with others and learn from the experience of successful social entrepreneurs. Many of our ventures will have attended a Social Venture Weekend prior to joining us. This is not a prerequisite, but it is a great foundation for a growing venture. Ready to apply? We take two cohorts of social ventures each year: in spring and autumn. Applications are open year-round, and we review applications as they come in, so apply early if possible. The form is deliberately quick and simple – we’re looking for potential, not a polished pitch deck. There is a one-off contribution of £100 per venture, but otherwise no fees are charged for the programme. Apply online at www.cambridgesocialventures.org
