A door can have so many meanings. It becomes, a messenger, and creates a metaphor both, physically and psychologically as well as a point of entry and exit. Its fixtures and fittings denote historical representation, a statement of identity, a monument to its owner, or creator. A door when open denotes an invitation, when closed a barrier, a signal to keep others at bay. Images of doors conjure up concepts of inclusion, exclusion and containment. This series of photographs began in 2000 and is continuous. CJ Taylor
